Scalp Micropigmentation

Micropigmentation is a camouflaging procedure. Small microscopic dots of special bio-ink are placed on the base of hair roots. The size of the dots and color of dots are precisely matched with existing hair density and hair color.
Indications for micro-pigmentation are, insufficient donor area, weak donor area, unwilling for the surgical procedure, female clients where female pattern baldness has led to decreased hair density.
Generally, male clients who have weak donor area and who prefer to keep a shaved head look are ideal candidates for scalp micropigmentation.
Some special situations like, sometimes in clients even after hair transplant we are not able to get desired density. In such cases, we do hair transplant first and then add scalp micro-pigmentation to give filling effect.

Procedure: scalp micro pigmentation is done under local anesthesia, in most cases numbing cream applied over the skin is sufficient. Rarely we may need to give frontal blocks. Special tattoo instruments are used to do the procedure precisely under magnification.

There is no pain after the procedure but in some clients, with a low pain threshold, we may need anti-inflammatory medications for a day or two.

Normally micro pigmentation is done in 2 to 3 sessions. Once optimum density is achieved micro-pigmentation results last for almost 3 to 4 years. After that refilling procedure may be required.

All in all, micro-pigmentation is a wonderful procedure in the above stated conditions. There is a hundred percent satisfaction at the client end and above all, there is no down time. Work can be resumed almost immediately.
